The Alpine area includes countries like :

1. Switzerland: Swiss culture is defined by diversity, which is reflected in wide range of traditional customs.  Switzerland ranks high in several metric of national performance, including civil liberties, economic competitiveness and human development.

2. Austria : Austria is one of the richest countries in the world. The country has developed a high living standard and has ranked 19th in the world for its Human Development Index.
